Welcome to Windrush Bowmen

We are a small, friendly club based on the outskirts of the market town of Witney in Oxfordshire. The club was established in 1947 by local bowmen with a shared love of the sport of archery. Today we are both a target and field club and our members shoot all classes of bow from the traditional English longbow to most high-tech.

Archery is a sport for all. Juniors can start as early as 12 years of age and there is no upper age limit. Archery is a sport of skill, not strength. The archer controls the bow, not the bow the archer. Modern archery equipment gives everyone the opportunity to learn to shoot well. It's all about seeing your arrows fly!

In summer we can also be found offering fun archery to all at fetes and festivals with our Have A Go castle and big game animals along with talks and demonstrations of traditional archery.
