Fleet Ibex 23rd May 2010

By gum it was hot! Another jaunt to Fleet Ibex where the challenge is as much locating the targets as hitting them. They have a big place. The traditional absence of back stops ensured plenty of grubbing around for lost arrows on a site reknowned for adders. Sadly no adders were seen - just like the arrows. The dangerous 5 shot round together, which Ian blamed on his not getting a medal. Sour grapes. Mark got a PB and Mike equalled his (again) despite knocking his bow on a poorly placed target marker. If only that last skunk wasn't a one-arrow shot!

It would be easy to make out that, due to premature senility, Mark forgot his arrow, but in fact he was testing an awkward shot. Honest.
