Take a look at the Windrush Calendar for upcoming shoots and other interesting stuff.
Your club
needs you!
There's always plenty to do and another pair of hands is much appreciated. At each evening shoot targets need to be put out and the beginning and got back in at the end.
Members also stage expeditions to local archery suppliers to buy new equipment - this is often an excuse to get new personal kit as well.
But the most work goes into maintaining our top notch field course, both for our own field shoots and also for our Bank Holiday Open Shoot (and pig roast). During the summer on the run up to the shoot there are work parties to maintain the course, set out new target bosses, repair bosses, cut steps, make bridges, paint signs and pegs, paste targets and much much more. See the WIndrush Calendar for the dates of upcoming work parties.
On the day itself we need course safety marshals, car park marshals, admin staff, assistants for chef, putting out road signs, loo diggers and plenty of fetching and carrying.
The compensation is a fantastic pig roast, real ale, and the satisfaction of a job well done.
The club is only as good as its members and getting stuck in is the best way to get to know people.
Have A Go
If you want to pull on some tights and help raise a couple of quid for the club, then you can join the Windrush Free Company and turn up to the various festivals and fairs we attend with our have a go castle.
Private Storage Area
Anyone wanting to submit photos for the website can now do it via our private storage area. You can upload the files without the hassle of email attachment limits. Members who want to take advantage of this facility can email me for the password and connection instructions. In due course club documents such as annual accounts, club rules and the constitution will be posted there for members to download. There is already a wealth of photos, videos and audio files there for your delectation.
Club Strip

The Windrush bowmen club strip is available to members in a variety of styles. Also available are woolly hats, sew-on patches and pin badges - the latter featuring the original club badge. You can download an order form here.
Safety
Safety is as important off the shooting line as it is on, so stay safe online with this handy guide
